| Description: | The Southern Court of Appeal exercises its jurisdiction in a district that includes the courts of the Republic of Moldova, namely: Cahul, Comrat and Cimișlia. Starting with December 27, 2024, according to Law No. 135 of June 13, 2024, on the revision of the judicial map and the reorganization of the courts of the Republic of Moldova, the Comrat Court of Appeal was merged with the Cahul Court of Appeal, forming the Southern Court of Appeal with its headquarters in the municipality of Cahul and its headquarters in the municipality of Comrat. According to the provisions of the procedural norms, the Southern Court of Appeal is a hierarchically superior court, which exercises its jurisdiction in a district, which includes: - Cahul Court of Appeal, Central Headquarters, secondary headquarters: Cantemir, Taraclia, Vulcănești; - Comrat Court of Appeal, Central Headquarters, secondary headquarters: Ceadir-Lunga, Cimișlia Court of Appeal, Central Headquarters. The Southern Court of Appeal hears appeals against decisions of lower courts – courts of first instance. |
