Civil law is the leading branch of law regulating property and personal non-property relations between individuals and legal entities based on the principles of equality of participants, inviolability of property, and freedom of contract.
The primary source of civil law in the Republic of Moldova is the Civil Code of the Republic of Moldova No. 1107/2002.
