The internal market of the European Union (EU) is a single economic area without internal borders where goods, services, people, and money move freely.

The EU internal market relies on four core principles, known as the "four freedoms": free movement of goods, services, capital and persons is assured, and in which citizens are free to live, work, study and do business.

- Member States: It covers all 27 European Union countries.

- Extended Area: Through the European Economic Area (EEA) agreement, non-EU members like Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway also take part. Switzerland participates through separate bilateral sector treaties.

Moldova is actively pursuing gradual integration into the European Union internal market.
