Criminal procedure in Moldova is regulated by the Criminal Procedure Code No. 122/2003.

It consists of two main phases: criminal prosecution (investigation conducted by prosecutors and police) and trial in instances (court of first instance, the Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Justice).

This document guarantees the protection of human rights in accordance with international standards.

The criminal process is regulated by the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova.
